MMO Titanium Anode |
INTRODUCTION
Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) titanium anode is
designed and manufactured for cathodic protection impressed current system. The anode is
based on titanium substrate and coated with either mixed metal oxide or platinum. The
special coating activates the anode and provides excellent electrocatalytic properties.
Comparing with conventional impressed current anodes, the anodes are small,
lightweight and with extreme low consumption rate of less than 1.0 mg/amp-yr. |

|
APPLICATION MMO titanium anodes perform well in all types of
environment
including areas with extremely low pH level (under 1), and high chloride concentrations.
Their unique configuration makes the anodes ideal for use in a wide variety such as cathodic protection system for buried structures,
pipeline, steel in concrete, ship, jetties & wharf. |

COATING & CURRENT OUTPUT MMO coating greatly prolong the life of the anode (low wear rate) and provide
excellent chemical resistance such as acid condition. The standard outputs are as below.
However,
coating loading may be adjusted to suit a particular current density or design
life.

TYPES AND SIZES The anodes
are available in most shapes, forms, sizes and length. The left listed are some
commonly used anodes with maximum rated output based on calcined petroleum backfill
application.
CONNECTION CABLE
The lead cable is available in all types and
sizes of cable such as XLPE, HMWPE, KYNAR/HMWPE and HALAR/HMWPE. The connection
between anode and cable is tested for resistance and is less than 0.001ohms. |
