INTRODUCTION
Link-seal is designed to prevent the intrusion of
moisture and other liquids in casing area. In addition, the seals can electrically isolate
and support the carrier pipe. The seals are made molded synthetic rubber and connected
together by corrosion resistant bolts and nuts. The seals are resistant against
aging, ozone and sunlight, and also available for environment with acids, alkalis, organic
chemicals and extreme temperatures (- 67 degree F to + 450 degree F)
APPLICATION
Model C: suitable for use in water, direct ground
burial and atmospheric condition. Provides electrical isolation where
cathodic protection
is required.
Model O: Nitrile rubber is resistant to oils,
fule and many solvents (gasoline, motor oil, kerosene, methane, jet fuel, hydraulic
fluid, water...etc.)
Model T: Silicone rubber is ideal for
temperature extremes. "T" model is one hour Factory Mutual approved for
fire protection in floor and wall penetrations. |

FEATURE
Link-Seal saves time and money-
Link-Seal installs in up to 75% less time compared to lead-oakum joints, hand-fitted
flashings, mastics, or casing boots. That means important cost savings
Positive Hydrostatic
Sealing-Properly installed, Link-Seal is rated at 20 psig (40 feet of head), which exceeds
the performance requirements of most applications.
Long Seal Life- Link-Seal is
designed for use as a permanent seal. Many installations have been in service for 25
years. Seal elements are specially compounded to resist aging, ozone, sunlight, water and
a wide range of chemicals.
Seals any Pipe- If it's round,
Link-Seal can seal it! Applications include concrete, cast iron, steel, copper, plastic,
electrical and telecommunications cable.
Fire Protection- For fire protection
in floor and wall penetrations Link-Seal is Factory Mutual approved.
Resistance to High and Low
Temperatures- Link-Seal is available in special compounds that resist temperatures from as
low as -60oF to as high as 400oF.
Corrosion Protection- Where
insulation against galvanic corrosion (or electrolysis) is required, Link-Seal provides
complete separation of pipe and casing. Metal-to-metal contact is eliminated.
Compensates for Misalignment-
Link-Seal allows for some angular and off-center pipe conditions and still seals
effectively.
Absorbs Shocks, Sound and Vibration-
This inherent benefit of Link-Seal helps reduce pipe failures due to fatigue, at welds,
flanges and threaded connections.
