Standard Potential Magnesium Anode

INTRODUCTION

Standard potential magnesium anodes are cast to meet ASTM Standard B80, Alloy AZ63. This unique composition allows for even current output. In low resistivity soil (under 2,000 ohm/cm), the anodes are an ideal and economical choice in a cathodic protection system.

The anodes are packed standard with 3 meters of 8 sq. mm  (AWG#8) HMWPE wire.  Different length, sizes, or types of  cable such as XLPE, PVC, HALAR is available upon request.

APPLICATION

Standard potential magnesium anodes are recommended for use in low resistivity soils (below 2,000 ohm/cm). Because the Standard potential anodes have a lower driving voltage than high-potential anodes, they are suited for structures where over-protection is of concern. Their lower current output allows these anodes to operate longer than high potential magnesium anodes in more conductive environment.
